Gifts-In-A-Jar

When I saw the new Harvest collection from Pebbles, I immediately thought that these papers would be perfect for decorating gifts-in-a-jar. I especially like the cut-apart sheet filled with 3x4 cards perfect for adding to a homemade gift.

Here's how this FUN new collection is described on the Pebbles blog: It’s the perfect pick for welcoming the beautiful fall season and makes sharing your favorite sweet treats with friends as easy as can be. It’s going to breathe life into your autumn crafting and make every cookie, card and crop even better.

I filled a small jar with cocoa mix and a larger jar with cookie mix.

I used a 2 1/2 inch circle punch for the papers on the tops of my jars. For the cookie mix jar, I layered additional punched circles, scalloped circles, flowers and a pearl embellishment on top of the base circle (and a matching punched flower & pearl on the jar label). And those strips around the jar lids are actually the printed side of the bar code strip that I cut off the 12x12 papers!

For the cocoa mix, I cut a cup from one of the 3x4 cards, then added the simple directions and adhered it to the back of the jar.

The Recipe Printed Tags from Canvas Home Basics work perfect for including more detailed directions! (You can find the recipe for these Oatmeal Raisin Cookies along with step-by-step directions for filling the jars and additional decorating ideas on my blog HERE.)

These homemade gifts are perfect for special occasions, party favors, office celebrations . . . and Christmas, which is only 106 days away!

I like the insert of paper on the jar and the handwritten recipe card.
